Sports for sanity

I wasn’t an utter slob as a child, but by no means was I athletic. No competitions, no tournaments, no league sports. Didn’t give a shit – pass the book please, I’m trying to read.

I’ve missed out so much. I know Chris Hitchens thought sports bring out the worst in people, but he missed the point that having a space to let out some aggression and win some glory is a nice way to channel urges that stop us going to war with each other. Balls not bombs.
